Design Case Study: Dahlia Nail Salon

Who’s Dahlia?

Dahlia is a new upcoming high-end nail salon located near a busy business district. The area is mainly populated by coffee shops and restos. The salon is targeting young busy professionals who are looking to unwind after a long day or week.

The Tools:

Wacomm & Adobe Illustrator

The Problem

As a newcomer in the business, Dahlia needs to make its mark in the industry and build brand awareness among its target market.

The Task

Given the brand positioning and target market, we wanted to create a logo that reflects the level of sophistication that Dahlia try to bring to its customer.

THE PROCESS

Keywords: sophisticated, fresh, premium

Design Decisions

We chose to create a simple badge logo made from outlined artwork to capture the ease and serenity that the salon’s ambience emulates. The illustrative style is also expandable into other design assets for marketing collaterals purposes. This will also help boost the visual recognisability of the brand as it’s being introduced to the market.

And here’s the final result: Do you like it as much as we do? Don’t forget to check out or other works on dribbble and instagram!
